What's there to do on a cruise?
Well, first... there aren't any bushes and brambles for you to go play hide the sausage on board! On the Carnival Spirit, there is a walkway called "the Jungle" and maybe we can make that the meet and greet "cruise" area! ;)

Some people consider eating an event, and there is plenty of eating events every day that you will have to plan around! But make no mistake about it, the evening experience in the dining room is something to plan for, not around!

Here's some things you should know. There are photographers wanting to take your picture all the time. As soon as you get through security on the docks, there will be photographers there who will ask you to pose. These photos will cost you nothing... unless you actually decide you want to buy them. Every day you can go to the Photo Gallery and look at all the pictures they have taken, and if you like the picture they have taken of you, you can take it to the counter, give them your Sign and Sail card, the amount due is charged to your account and the picture is yours to take.

They are not cheap as pictures go... but they may be a picture you really like and want to keep! You can have the photographers take as many pictures as you desire and there is no obligation for you to buy any... keep trying until you get the picture you want. You can wait until the end of the cruise to decide which ones you like... and if there is one you absolutely hate and don't want anyone to look at, there are receptacles to put the pic in so they won't put it up again the next day.

There will be Specials of the Day. Some will include a album, a frame, a discount... some kind of special feature or discount.
If you don't have a camera, consider buying one on board at Tax and Duty Free prices.

Feel like doing something outdoors? Check out putters and go play miniature golf... what color are your balls? Play volleyball or shoot hoops... all the equipment you need can be checked out on the Lido Deck.

CASINO Nights! Watch for gaming lessons and go learn how to play a new table game in the casino. Slots... Electric Texas Hold 'em, and Poker Pro Tables. Blackjack, Roulette, Pai Gow. There will be a slot tournament to get your excitement level up! The Casino is open whenever we are not in port.

Do you like contests? Here is a listing of some of the sometimes fun, often silly, things to do on a Carnival Cruise. Take 'em or Leave 'em, but you will never be able to say there wasn't something to do, or someone to watch doing it!

Beanbag toss -- Name That Song -- Golf Putting contest -- Cha Cha Dance lessons -- Gameshow Mania -- Bingo -- Sports Trivia -- Ping Pong games and tournament -- Horseracing -- Towel Folding Workshop -- Basketball Freethrow contest -- Sea Feud -- Match Game -- Rock and Roll Trivia -- Daily Card Games -- Win a Cruise Bingo.

Would you believe us if we told you there was entertainment everyday? How about entertainment every day, damned near all day? Well, here's a sample: Karaoke -- Ballroom Music -- Latin and Salsa Music and Margarita specials -- Piano Bar Sing-a-long -- Carribbean Music Lido Deck by the pool -- There is a different sound in different bars at different times of day. Follow your ear and let your foot get to tapping!

Every Night there is a full production in the Pharaoh's Showroom. Mini-Broadway Shows with full casts of dancers and singers nightly after dinner. Some nights there will be something different for a late show, i.e., a comedian, usually with a late night X-rated show; a hypnotist, also with a X-rated late show. If you don't make it to the "big" show or just are not in the mood, catch the dj in one of several different themed shows where you can rock and dance into the wee hours.

Not in to "Big" noise? Find a quiet piano bar, jazz quartet, or the like.

The Carnival Spirit is renown for a great cover band in the intimate Riviera Deck Versailles Lounge.

Every night with chocolates on your pillow, you will find a copy of the Carnival Capers, a daily newsletter that will give you a list of everything going on that day. Read it and plan the next day before you drift off to sleep. There is even a tear-off of the Capers you can put in your pocket and use to make sure you don't miss a thing!

Oh... there is a library where you can pick up a book to read, a card room to pick up a game with some new friends, and a chapel where you can pray. So, as you can see... all your moods are covered!
