What is the cruise schedule? Where are we going?
Your Exotic 8 day BajaGay.com Mexican Riviera CruiseWe depart San Diego on Monday, October 26th, 2009. You can start the boarding process around noon, but there will be a crowd at that time, so we are going to let that early rush pass, and start our boarding later.
Everyone can arrive at the cruise pier in San Diego on their own, but we will assemble a group to arrive around 1 PM. We drop off our luggage with the porters outside and the next time you see your bags will be after they are delivered to your personal stateroom. If you want to stick together, we can all do this as a group to help everyone get themselves and luggage on board without any confusion.
Once we board, we will take our time to explore the ship, and...
We can go to the La Playa Grill on Lido Deck and enjoy our first Carnival Spirit buffet! The Carnival Spirit will leave San Diego at 4 PM, and you MUST be on-board no later than 3:00 PM to enjoy our first night of luxury aboard the Carnival Spirit.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be "Fun Days" at sea. Explore the ship, take part in the games, lectures, on-board fun and don't forget the
Casino!Day four is Thursday: We arrive in
Acapulco by noon. Find a place on deck to sit and have lunch and watch us dock at this beautiful and famous Mexican resort city. There is no rush...
relax! Arrangements are still being made, but we will plan some group activities that probably will include a visit to the gay bar in Acapulco. Bring your dancing slippers!
We are in Acapulco until 1 AM that evening, so we actually begin day five in Acapulco, but you MUST be back on ship that night by 12:30 AM. The ship will not wait for you...
so don't get left in Acapulco unless he is worth you catching up with us at your own expense!
Wake up the next morning, Friday, day five in
Zihuantanejo/Ixtapa unless you rise before 9 AM; the ship will already be there and remain all day. Just like Acapulco, we are getting information on things to do to provide an opportunity mix and mingle with some gay locals, but don't forget to be back on ship 30 minutes before our departure time of 6 PM.
Be on deck with a cocktail in hand to watch the sunsets as we leave port.Saturday, day six will be a good day to get up early and enjoy the sunrise on the Pacific port of
Manzanillo. The day can begin as early as 7 AM if you want to go ashore and have breakfast at a local Mexican restaurant...
or how about a Bloody Mary and breakfast on deck watching the port come alive as the Carnival Spirit prepares to unload passengers! Maybe you want to take a nap this day, because this is
HALLOWEEN and the night to prowl and howl!
Sunday, day seven you can nurse your hang-over, sleep in, order breakfast in bed, because this begins another two glorious days at sea. Sunday and Monday you can enjoy everything on-board... trivia contests, miniature golf, swimming, catch up on your tan, read a good book (or a trashy book) and of course everyone's favorite pass-time, eating!
Tuesday we wake up on the ninth day in San Diego. The night before you will pack and tag all of your luggage and leave it outside your stateroom to be taken off ship to baggage claim on the pier the next day.
You may keep one small bag with you so you have everything you need to get dressed and pretty for disembarkation. You want to do this, because some people have actually come back to their stateroom that last night, packed their bags and given them to the crew for handling,
only to wake up the next morning with nothing to wear but their pajamas! We know some of you will only sleep in your underwear, and as much as it would be a treat for everyone to see you to walk to breakfast in your boxer-briefs, remember to keep one small bag with you!
On Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009, while we are waiting to leave the ship, you are still invited to have breakfast and enjoy morning back in San Diego. Everyone is usually off the ship by 10 AM.
